\nThe adaptive Kelly speed assistant from Bauer proved its worth recently in a major project in Thailand. With “One Bangkok”, the capital is getting a completely new and fully integrated district – right next to the famous Lumphini Park in the heart of the bustling metropolis. With a total floor space of 1.83 million m\u00b2, “One Bangkok” is the largest private real estate development initiative ever realized in Thailand.<\/p>\n

For the construction of buildings, 700 bored piles with diameters of 1,500 and 1,800 mm to a depth of 80 m were produced with a total of four Bauer drilling rigs. Also on board was a BAUER BG 45, equipped with the adaptive Kelly retraction speed assistant. This innovative technology automatically regulates the optimal winch speed when extending and retracting the Kelly bar – a significant leap in terms of operator comfort. The rig operator monitors the entire process on the screen in the cab.<\/p>\n
In the event of a malfunction, the assistant automatically stops the winch and can thus prevent the Kelly from falling through.<\/p>\n
A great advantage is the display of Kelly locks using the Kelly visualization, which allows a wear-reducing, accurate approach of the locking positions.<\/p>\n
This ensures optimum work safety on the construction site and increases productivity. A large number of Bauer drilling rigs are already equipped with the adaptive Kelly speed assistant and also score points thanks to their very good values in terms of fuel consumption and noise.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
